THE VORTEX
Casimir Dickson specialises in telling stories with images. This film style promo for Creamsouce, directed by Kacey Baker, was for a global audience to launch the release of the Vortex 4. Shot over two nights on the Panavision DXL2 and Panavision T-Series anamorphic.
Silent Without the sun
Silent Without the Sun, is a short film highlighting the mountain of training going into preparing for the olympics. These rowing athletes were stunned by the global pandemic which delayed the 2020 olympics and their dreams. Directed by Ed de Carvalho and shot on a mix of Super 16mm film and digital with vintage anamorphics.
Winner of a Gold ACS award 2022 and award of distinction in the national awards.

This social advertisement was an opportunity to collaborate with long time friend and talented director, Simon Morehead. The piece was shot in Hong Kong in 2019, during political unease. one of my favourite pieces due to Simon’s vision to create a lot of camera movement.

This social advertisement for BMW was a great opportunity to showcase some beautiful images, which wasn’t hard to do when the subject is the beautiful 2020 BMW i8. Collaborating with Director/Photographer, Petros Ktenas.

Casimir Dickson ACS was born in Australia and is of European descent. He spent some of his earlier schooling years in Europe, where he developed a love of photography and French film. His love for film led him to over 20 years in the camera department.
Casimir specialises in Feature Films, TV Dramas, Documentaries and Commercial Work. Since becoming accredited by the Australian Cinematographers Society, he has been in high demand due to his experience, passion and personality on set.
